GDU (formerly Prodrone)

We were exceptionally pleased last year to win the multi show contract for drone manufacturer GDU @ CES and NAB 2016.

After going up against multiple bids we were overjoyed to be awarded a multi-show contract with Prodrone. We were contracted to install a stand at two shows both in Las Vegas, The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). Both shows are highly prestigious and Prodrone wanted to show off their amazing new drones to the world shortly after launching the product. The design focused on the materials using high quality gloss laminate, matte black walls, chrome details, back lit graphics, and other finishes that oozed quality. The key focus for us was attention to detail and a very high level of finish.

A multi-speaker music and AV system enabled a multitude of possibilities. Images from a pc could be broadcast to individual 4K screens and live feeds from the drones cameras sent to any zone as required. The music was equally flexible with multiple inputs being streamed to any zone. This meant, real-time presentations, demo reels and live demonstrations could all occur on demand. Rob and Alejandra were also keen to keep a clean look so every speaker was top end, recessed with a colour matched grill for minimal visual impact.

Every logo on the stand was machined from 30mm thick perspex to give a seamless 3D look with no shadows and a perfectly even glow. Many other stand builders commented on our logos and wanted to know how we did it, that’s our secret but they really aren’t done justice in these photos. Just as well that we are better stand builders than photographers.

Our new clients were overjoyed with the booth and commented that it was head and shoulders above the previous stands they had had in terms of organisation and importantly quality_

Infact they were so happy with their first stand that Prodrone then contracted us to build a smaller version to go to Nuremburg Germany for IWA 2016, the outdoor sports show.
Using the exact same materials and design meant that even with a smaller space they were able to project the same image and professionalism regardless of which continent they were on.
We were able to take away the worry with the client knowing that the quality would remain the same and the little details would be taken care of. They just had to turn up and sell the product. This is why we are a favourite with international companies, when you are from China and you are investing your budget in stand in America you need to trust you stand builder to deliver_

Things don't always go to plan........

You don't always want to find yourself smashing out perfectly machined logos at 10pm but when faced with a challenge that's sometimes what you have to do.

Just two days before the start of NAB in Las Vegas we had a call from Prodrone saying that due to a legal issue they would not be able to use the logo that had been built into every surface! This was a shock especially as the booth was almost built. However the team quickly got to work using cherry pickers, riggers, local print firms and set about removing every logo and replacing it with a new one (once we had drawn up the files overnight). This was done in a matter of hours and the Booth was ready to go when the show opened.

With that I would like to say thanks to Prodrone for using us and we look forward to the next show as GDU.
